  • Bahia de los Angeles Coastkeeper Bahía de los Ángeles is located along the east coast of the State of Baja California, in the Midriff Island Region of the Gulf of California, northwest Mexico. The impressive marine productivity, abundance and diversity of marine life motivated the area to be designated as a Biosphere Reserve in 2007. Working in that region since 1998, the Mexican NGO Pronatura Noroeste AC joined efforts with the environmental defense group Defensa Ambiental del Noroeste, to establish Bahía de los Ángeles Coastkeeper, an organization dedicated to the conservation of the local coastal and marine environment.
