Recent Accomplishments

--Won runner-up in the 6th annual World-Wide Volvo Hometown Hero Award in the environmental category winning $25,000 for the Blackwater Nottoway Riverkeeper Program.
--Helped The Nature Conservancy acquire three miles of shoreline along the Blackwater River to be put into a conservation easement.
--Since 2001 our annual Clean Rivers Day has removed 57,921 pounds of garbage out of our rivers including 5,120 pounds this year.
