The Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation advocates for and secures protection and enhancement of the Catawba River, its lakes, tributaries and watershed so that it can always sustain the human and wildlife populations that depend on it for life.

Recent Accomplishments

--Advocated for upholding of Catawba River Buffer Rules: achieved $30,000 fine for a single-family lot
--Removed over 23,500 lbs. of waste from Lake Wylie in a single day with 278 volunteers
--Worked on purchase of 116 acres surrounding a County’s water intake facility
