Recent Accomplishments

--Settled with CUE IV and Union Pacific Railroad over the cleanup of Eureka's Balloon Track property. Longterm contamination at the site was degrading surface water quality and the surrounding environment.
--Stopped the dumping of toxic dredging spoils onto local beaches.
--Successfully sued Simpson Timber company for extensive dioxin contamination leaching into Humboldt Bay.
--Spearheaded formation of Humboldt Bay Dioxin Working Group to tackle bay-wide dioxin contamination. --Successfully petitioned State Water Board to list Humboldt Bay as impaired under the Clean Water Act.
