Our mission is to protect, preserve and restore the ecological integrity of the Mississippi River Basin for current users and future generations through advocacy and citizen action.

Recent Accomplishments

--Published the report “Natural, Man Made and Technology Based Disasters in the Mississippi River System in Louisiana - 2008”
--Formalized the 100-1000: Restore Coastal Alabama partnership
--Completed their first 1/4 mile of oyster reef restoration by enlisting more than 600 volunteers.
--Is responding to the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico by making incredible strides toward protecting their shoreline, monitoring impacts, promoting transparency and focusing attention on restoration.
