Mentoring Program

New Waterkeeper organizations and other newcomers to the movement benefit from the wisdom and experience of veteran Waterkeepers. New Waterkeeper organizations not only must establish themselves as the primary advocate for their watershed, but also engage in the Alliance’s regional and international advocacy efforts.  While participation in Waterkeeper Alliance affords many informal networking opportunities, our formal mentoring program matches Waterkeepers to ensure a strong, effective movement of water and community advocates.
