Allie has been actively involved in the Waterkeeper movement since he was a young teenager growing up in the Hudson Valley in New York, the place where the Waterkeeper movement began. When he was fourteen, he had his first internship with Hudson Riverkeeper, and continued his work with the Riverkeeper until the age of 18, when he went off to college to further his environmental studies. After graduating with a BS in environmental science/ conservation ecology from the University of Vermont, Allie returned to the movement with a full-time job at Waterkeeper Alliance. Allie’s love of the outdoors has instilled a particular sense of responsibility to protecting water resources, which makes Waterkeeper a perfect fit. Now, Allie has a multitude of responsibilities from field coordination and regional support to campaign strategizing and website content.
