Kelly Foster

Prior to joining Waterkeeper Alliance, Kelly was the Environmental Protection Unit Chief for the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office where she provided legal advice to state environmental agencies on a broad range of issues relating to pollution of air, land and water.  She also conducted administrative, civil and criminal enforcement of environmental laws on behalf of the State of Oklahoma, including representing the State in the case of State v. Tyson Foods, Inc. et al., a civil action against several poultry integrator companies for pollution of the Illinois River Watershed.  As Senior Attorney at Waterkeeper, Kelly oversees all the critical aspects of case development, federal and state ruling making and bringing Clean Water Act claims and other legal actions against polluters. With her extensive background in factory farming pollution issues, Kelly’s involvement in our North Carolina CAFO work will be vital to our ongoing efforts in the state.
